Darin Spillman grew up in Los Angeles and thrives on the city’s unique mixture of beautiful weather, diverse culture and geography, entrepreneurial potential and creative environment. As both a real estate investor and professional, Darin understands from experience the intricacies of owning, managing, buying, selling and marketing income property in Los Angeles.
Darin has been a commercial real estate professional since 2002 with extensive experience in multi-family and commercial properties. He has focused his efforts on the disposition of middle-market transactions throughout Los Angeles County; having successfully closed roughly 1500 units representing more than $500,000,000 in sales volume.
He has earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, commitment to the sales process, intimate knowledge of the product and his in-depth understanding of each specific submarket within Los Angeles.
His emphasis includes stabilized rent controlled and non-rent controlled apartment buildings, value-add retail and mixed-use opportunities, and urban in-fill land for development.
After spending his first several years in the business in a large publicly traded commercial real estate brokerage, Darin now serves as Managing Director of Hudson Commercial Partners, a boutique commercial brokerage firm with a very strong market share, extremely creative marketing vision, and solid depth and breadth of experience among its broker/partners.
Darin is a licensed salesperson in California and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He also studied at the University of Barcelona, Spain and is fluent in Spanish.
Darin’s experience has benefited both buyers and sellers in the sale and acquisition of multi-family, office, mixed-use, retail, land and net leased properties throughout Los Angeles County.
Apart from real estate, Spillman enjoys reading, learning new things, fitness, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.
His philosophy is to represent his clients as he would represent himself or his family, and he’s happy to provide a multitude of clients’ testimonials to anyone interested in hearing about their experiences first hand. His goal is to serve as a resource of information and consulting for his repeat and potential clients, and considers himself to be in the long-term relationship building business.
